Thomas John Kelly, 74, passed away Monday, November 21, 2022, at his long-time Fairless Hills, PA, home. He was born January 21, 1948, in Abington, PA, a son of the late Francis Kelly and Margaret (Knecht) Kelly. Prior to his retirement, Tom was a long-time employee of Bell Tel and Verizon as a technician. He was graduate of Abington High School in 1965. He was a veteran of the U.S., Army from 1967-73 and served along the West Germany/Czechoslovakia border as a SP4 tank mechanic during the Vietnam War. He also was engineer and trustee of the Levittown Fire Company No. 2, Station 13 for more than a decade. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Clair (Chamberlain) Kelly; son Chris Kelly; daughter-in-law Jennifer; granddaughter; Hanna and grandson Connor. He also was a pet lover who had two Maltese dogs (Sugar and Tinkerbell) and a kitten (Daisy, whom he affectionately called Trouble). Tom was a skilled handyman who was known for doing things for his family and friends. He was a loyal, true-blue husband and father who enjoyed family vacations to Disney World, and in recent years, watching his grandson’s hockey games over the internet. Family and friends are invited to gather for a celebration of Tom’s life on Monday, December 5, 2022, that begins at 12:15 pm, at the Levittown Fire Company No. 2 Station 13, 6 County Way, Levittown, PA 19055 and concludes with military honors at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
