Thomas (Tom) Patrick Bannon Sr., 75, born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, and a longtime resident of Bristol Borough, Pennsylvania, where he raised his six children with his wife Claire, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2023.
Tom was previously employed at Reedman’s Auto Dealer, Martial Maintenance, US Steel of Fairless Hills and is presently employed at AQUA PA, Bristol Water Plant, where he enjoyed being senior to all the “younger ones.”
Tom enjoyed playing softball and was an avid Phillies fan. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his brothers, sons, grandsons, and nephew Kevin. Tom found the most pleasure in spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren upstate on Spring Hill in Pennsylvania, aka Camp TC. Tom’s newfound interest was his love for music. Tom was an incredible storyteller, captivating his audience with every story detail. Tom mentored many children in the neighborhood through his passions for hunting, fishing, and sports.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents, Jeanette and Harold Bannon, Sr., and his siblings, Harold Bannon Jr., Diane Bryant-Miller, Bruce Bannon (Susan), Michael Bannon, and his nephew Jason Bannon.
Tom is survived by his wife of 55 years, Claire McSherry- Bannon; his sister-in-law, Bonnie Bannon; his brother-in-law Terrance Bryant Sr.; his brother Robert Bannon (Joan); his sister Debbie Bannon-Schardinger (Mike), Denise Bannon-Longo (Ron), Patricia Bannon-Cooney (Ivan), and brother Joey Bannon. His children, John Bannon (Barbie), Jennie Bannon aka Sissy, Doris Bannon, Dawn Bannon (friend Angelo), Elizabeth Bannon- Mezzacappa (Michael) and Thomas aka Tommy Bannon Jr. (Cindy).
He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
Tom leaves behind the apple of his eye, his grandchildren. John Pond (Nicole), Brittany Garcia (Ralph), Vanessa Rodriguez (Juan), Nichole Webster (Frank), Albert, Jenna Bowers (Steve), Stephanie Moyett (Omi), Madison Bitting, Sophia, and Mariana Mezzacappa, and 33 Great Grandchildren.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
