Theodore F Kilkuskie, Sr.

Theodore F. (Ted) Kilkuskie, Sr. of Morrisville, PA passed away peacefully at age 88 in Hospice of Kona, Nakumura Hale in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.  Ted (known as Pop or Big Ted), the son of Anthony and Mary Kilkuskie (Kulakowski), was born and raised in Mahanoy City, PA where he starred in high school sports as a member of a large and legendary sports family. He moved to Bristol, PA in 1952 where he met and married his lifelong love, Yolanda Costantini, and in 1958 they moved to Morrisville, PA to raise their family.  He was a United States Army Veteran and during the Korean war was stationed in Austria where he quarterbacked his Army team, the Zone Command Bulldogs, to a European Championship.  After a 27-year career as an electrician for US Steel, Ted retired in 1989 to begin a full and active 30 year second life.  Ted was an avid sports player, coach, long distance walker and sports fan his entire life, with football as his favorite sport followed closely by baseball and softball. He played softball until this year with the Kona Legends of the Kona Hawaii Senior League and is fondly remembered for his daily 10 mile walks in both PA and HI.   He is preceded in death by his loving wife Yolanda and 8 of his siblings.  Ted is already greatly missed by his children, Ted Kilkuskie, Ken Kilkuskie and Leslie Ann as well as his grandchildren; Kristen, Kelly, Kevin, Melissa, Alayna, Kaylyn and a great granddaughter Bailey.  He will also be missed by his brother Walter Kilkuskie and many nieces, nephews, teammates, walking companions and good friends.  Ted was a long time member of St John the Evangelist Parish in Lower Makefield and for the past several years served as an usher at Holy Trinity Parish in Morrisville, PA. Relatives and friends are invited to call Saturday, March 23, 2019 from 8 – 10:15 am at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol – Oxford Valley Road, Levittown, PA 19057.  Funeral mass will be 11 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 201 N.
