Steven L. McGrath, 71, of Langhorne, PA passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at Langhorne Gardens Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Steve was born September 27, 1952, in Worcester, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Charles McGrath and Shirley (Johnson) McGrath. Steve graduated from Westborough High in 1970. He continued his education at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where he received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering in 1974. He went on to the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School, where he got his M.B.A in 1977. Steve had an extensive career in business, and owned his own consulting firm, McGrath and Associates, for many years.
Steve had a heart of gold and was extremely generous to anyone who was lucky enough to have met him. He had the ability to light up an entire room with his sense of humor. His love for music was infectious to everyone around him. You could often hear the music and Steve singing while he was grilling for friends and family. He loved playing Pitch with family and became a master of the game. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren most of all.
Steve joins his parents, Charles and Shirley (Johnson) McGrath, who passed away in 2012 and 2008. Steven is survived by his four children, Heather McGrath and fiancé Raymond Yedman of Levittown, PA, Kristin and husband Nicholas Lecuyer of Fairless Hills, PA, Ashley and husband Michael Pitcher of Pipersville, PA and Patrick McGrath of Yardley, PA. Along with his seven grandchildren; Raymond Jr, Ryan, Brandon, Kaylee, Hunter, Caycie, and Noelle. Steve is also survived by his siblings; Charles McGrath Jr and wife Nancy of Rutland, MA, Susan D’Orazio and husband Tony of Worcester, MA, Christine McGrath of Ormond Beach, FL, lifelong best friend and brother George Bergin of Westford, MA, and his nieces and nephews, Kelly Bouchard and husband Christopher, Shaun McGrath and wife Sumita, Erin DeStratis and husband Jason and Giuliano D’Orazio.
The family would like to thank Langhorne Gardens Health and Rehabilitation Center for their care for Steve over the last decade.
Friends and family are welcome to join in celebrating Steve’s life from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2024, at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol - Oxford Valley Road, Levittown, PA 19057. Interment is private under the direction of Galzerano Funeral Home.
