Shirley A Dean

Shirley Ann (Meyers) Dean, a beloved mother, grandmother and family member of Levittown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, unexpectedly and suddenly passed away of natural causes in the early hours on April 24th, 2023, at the age of 76, at home surrounded by her family.

Shirley was known by her family and friends as a loving and caring woman who always had her family and loved ones on her mind and in her thoughts. She was always the glue of the family, a woman you could go to at a time of need, to whom you could tell anything, and she would stand with you. She had a pure heart of gold, her love was infectious, and she knew what it really meant to be a family. She has passed her loving nature, strong work ethic, and moral character down to multiple generations. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, and spending time with her sister Marie playing slot machines. Her favorite pastime was spending time with family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

As for her family, we mourn very deeply, and with heavy hearts, we bear her loss. Those who knew her understand that she would not want us to be consumed by sadness, but rather, she would want us to be reminiscent of the more joyful times and positive memories we have shared and created. Most of all, she would want us to know that she is finally at peace and reunited with her long-lost loved ones.

Shirley was born in Trenton, New Jersey to the late Peter W. Meyers and Mary G. Meyers. She was preceded in death by her late husband William “Billy” Dean, and the late Charles “Mickey” Dean, her beloved eldest son. She is survived by her son, Samuel Dean, and her daughter, Kimberly Dean, her 3 grandchildren Charles, Matthew, and Amanda and her 4 great-grandchildren James, Madelynn, Kaze, and Kennen, as well as her sisters Marie J. Martin and Stephanie Kohler, and brother Eddie Davis and many other nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Family and friends are invited to gather Friday, May 5th, 2023, from 10 to 11 am at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol -  Oxford Valley Road, Levittown, PA, 19057.  Funeral service will begin at 11 am.  Interment will be held at St. Mark Cemetery.
