Robert Anthony “Bob” DeLissio passed away Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Lower Bucks Hospital in Bristol, PA with his family by his side. He was 80. Bob was born in Bristol to the late Eugene and Mary (DiPento) DeLissio on September 12, 1937. He was also the older brother to the late Eugenia Carlin. Bob attended Bristol Borough schools and graduated from Bristol High School in 1955. Immediately following high school, he joined the US Postal Service and delivered mail to Levittown. Following his work at the post office, he joined the US Army Reserves while also an employee of US Steel – Fairless Works. After retiring from US Steel – Fairless Works, he worked for Woods Services in Langhorne, PA for several years. His favorite pastime was bowling. An avid bowler, he enjoyed bowling in many teams and leagues in the Delaware Valley area. In 1977 he won the prestigious Landgraf Bowling Tournament in New York City where he surpassed hundreds of other bowlers, including professionals. Later, he was inducted into the Lower Bucks County Bowling Hall of Fame. Along with bowling, he also enjoyed watching and rooting for the Philadelphia sports teams. Bob was known as a gentle man, who would go out of his way to help others. He was a fun-loving person with a natural wit. A devout Catholic, he always saw the good in others. Bob is survived by his wife, Loretta (Volpe) DeLissio of Levittown; his daughter, Christine Frank and her husband, Bill Frank, both of Wisconsin; his son Rob DeLissio of Levittown; a grandson, Matthew Frank, of Wisconsin; a sister and brother-in-law, Rita and John McHale, of Florida; a brother-in-law, James Carlin of New Jersey and numerous relatives. Relatives and friends are invited to call Wednesday, June 13, 2018 7 – 9 pm and Thursday morning 10:30 – 11:30 am at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol – Oxford Valley Road, Levittown, PA 19057.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12pm at Queen of the Universe Church.  Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Bensalem. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation, 200 SE 1st Street, Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131 or via the foundation’s website.
