Richard K Plummer, Jr.

Richard K. Plummer, Jr (Rich) of Levittown, PA.,  beloved husband of 31 years of Nellie (Hammer) Plummer, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, June 13, 2022, at Jefferson Bucks Hospital.  He was 59.  Born in Reading, Pa he was the son of the late Richard K. Plummer, Sr  and Catherine F. (Fickling) Plummer of Elizabethtown, Pa.  Rich was a graduate of Delhaas High School, class of 1980 and West Chester University, class of 1985.

Rich was an awesome dude.  He loved his family and was a thoughtful son, brother, and husband.  He was a Civil War enthusiast, an avid reader, a Star Trek fan, a follower of the Grateful Dead (a true Deadhead) and he rooted for all the Philadelphia sports teams.  He will be greatly missed by all, including his overly spoiled cat Fluffy.

Rich is survived by his sisters, Peggi Norman (Wayne), Pat Berg (Mike) and Maribeth Makela (Michael);  nieces Melissa Norman, Sarah Berg, and Nolan Hammer; nephews Daniel Makela, Paul Hammer and Matthew Makela; father and mother-in-law Bob and Mary Hammer, brother-in-law Jeff Hammer (Val) and sister-in-law Delane Cachia (Kevin) and by aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.  Rich was preceded in death by his nieces Rebecca Norman and Emily Norman.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 25, 2022, at The Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, 1700 Makefield Road, Yardley PA.  Visitation will begin at 10am with the service to follow at 11:30.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Rich’s name to Cancer Research Institute, www.cancerresearch.org (Please designate Esophageal Cancer),  Blind Cat Rescue & Sanctuary, www.blindcatrescue.com, or Best Friends Animal Society, bestfriends.org.
