Rev. Philip Aloysius Cordisco, O.SS.T. Fr. Philip Aloysius Cordisco, O.SS.T. died on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Saint Joseph Skilled Nursing Center, Lawrenceville, New Jersey due to complications following a stroke.  He was born on October 7, 1932 in Bristol, PA to the late Philip and Anna (née Diodati) Cordisco, Sr.  He was baptized Philip Vincent Cordisco, Jr., at St. Ann Catholic Church in Bristol, PA on November 6, 1932.  He entered the Postulancy of the Order of the Most Holy Trinity on August 25, 1947.  After he graduating from DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsville, Maryland in 1951, he entered the Novitiate on September 11, 1951 at Sacred Heart Monastery in Pikesville, Maryland.  He was given the name Bro. Timothy of the Most Holy Rosary.  He professed Solemn Vows on November 20, 1955.  Fr. Philip was ordained a priest on June 4, 1960 in Baltimore, Maryland.  During his fifty-eight years of priestly ministry, Fr. Philip served the Church in various capacities. He engaged in parish ministry at St. Ann’s in Bristol, PA, Incarnation-St. James in Trenton, NJ, Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Asbury Park, NJ, St. Joseph, Marion, IL, and Our Lady of Mount Carmel/St. Benedicta, Staten Island, NY.  He served as the Finance Officer of DeMatha Catholic High School, Hyattsville, Maryland.  Fr. Philip also served as the Master of Novices and as a Provincial Councilor for the Trinitarians. Fr. Philip was known for his deep faith, great devotion to prayer, dedication to his Trinitarian community, and love of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.  He had a great appreciation for his Italian heritage and its cuisine.  Fr. Philip will be remembered for his efforts to remain active in ministry well into his senior years, his joy in sharing decades old memories, his sense of hospitality, and his willingness to help those who called upon him. Fr. Philip is survived by his sister Marie Antonelli, nieces and nephews, priests and brothers of the Order of the Most Holy Trinity and of the Captives, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Vincent, David and Eugene, and sisters Angelina Grisolia, and Josephine Belardino. Funeral Services: Visitation will be Tuesday, November 20, 2018 from 9:00 A.M. until the Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. celebrated by the Most Rev. David M. O'Connell, C.M., Bishop of the Diocese of Trenton, at St. James Catholic Church, 29 E. Paul Avenue, Trenton, NJ 08638. The Trinitarian community will receive those wishing to pay their respects on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at Holy Trinity Monastery, 8400 Park Heights Avenue, Baltimore, MD  21208. At 11:00 A.M., the community will pray the Office of the Dead.  Burial will follow immediately in Holy Trinity Monastery Cemetery.
