Patricia “Pat” McGurk, 76, of Langhorne, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. Pat was married to Leonard Buckwalter until his passing in 1983. She was the beloved widow of Edward “Ed” McGurk, with whom she shared many wonderful years of marriage.
Pat was a vibrant, energetic woman who found joy in life’s simple pleasures, such as staying connected with friends on Facebook, embracing fashion, and leading an active lifestyle. For decades, Pat worked as a hairstylist, transforming countless lives with her skill and creativity. Her keen eye for fashion and beauty made her a beloved figure in the community, and she developed close bonds with many of her clients over the years.
Pat is survived by her daughter Amy Buckwalter Hero, and her stepchildren. She is also cherished by her two brothers Jerry McGovern (Karen), Mark McGovern (Lisa), as well as her many nieces and nephews, Lauren (Matt), Megan (Dan), Sean (Colleen), Julia, and Dan (Krysta) and their loving families. Pat was also known as “Mimi” to her loving grandchildren Harper, Cade, and Carter. Pat’s memory will live on through late night shopping at TJ-Maxx, Macy’s, endless hair dye, and sharp scissors.
Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service from 10 – 12 pm on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol – Oxford Valley Road, Levittown, PA 19057. Funeral service will begin at 12 pm.
Interment will be held Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road Newtown, PA 18940. Please arrive at 11:15 am so that interment can take place at 11:30 a.m., due to cemetery restrictions.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made on behalf of the Delaney family for breast cancer awareness to MD Anderson Cancer Center.
