Patricia J Amoroso (nee: Fratantaro), a dedicated individual who devoted her life to caring for others, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024, with her husband by her side. She was born on February 22, 1943, in Philadelphia, PA.
Throughout her career, Pattie worked as a histologist at both Nazareth and Hahnemann hospitals and in home health care, where she touched the lives of many with her compassion and kindness. She graduated from Bishop Egan class of 1961 and went on to achieve great things in her lifetime.
Some of her proudest accomplishments were being actively involved at Conwell Egan Catholic High School, holding various positions including President of the Ladies Association (L.A.C.E.) for over 20 years and being inducted into Egan’s Wall of Fame. She was a devoted parishioner to Immaculate Conception Church and later Queen of the Universe Church where she served as an Extraordinary Minister. Additionally, she generously volunteered at Immaculate as a librarian, lunch mom, and gym teacher.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents John and Marguerite Fratantaro, and brother in laws Bill Drisch and Marty Vacante. She leaves behind a legacy of love and memories cherished by those closest to her.
She is greatly missed by her husband of 60 years, Andrew Amoroso, her children Andrew Amoroso (Ashley), Michael Amoroso (Valerie), Colleen Amoroso, Brian Amoroso (Stacy), grandchildren Tatiana, Sean (Brittany), Tanya (Liz), Nicholas (Zoe), Drew (Kelly), Dominic (Nicole), Kylie (Jack), Sami (John), great-grandchildren Mikayla, Aundrea, Jackson, Laila, Aizik, Mikail, Shane, Josephine, Giavanna, and Mickenzie. She is also survived by her siblings Marguerite Drisch, Barbara Vacante, John Fratantaro (Stefanie), Kathleen Ott (Jerry), along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and her close friends Rita Anderson, Barbara Charlton, Kathy and Denny Schaffer, the Eganette’s and her close friends from Immaculate Conception.
Patricia will be remembered for her selflessness, warm heart, and unwavering dedication to her family and community. May she rest in peace knowing she made a lasting impact on all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
Family and friends are invited to gather Thursday, July 11, 2024, from 10 – 11:45 am at Queen of the Universe Church, 2443 Trenton Rd, Levittown, PA 19056. Funeral mass will begin at 12 pm.
Interment will be held 11 am, Saturday, July 27, 2024 at Resurrection Cemetery under the direction of Galzerano Funeral Home.
