Michael D Walsh

March 28, 1948 — June 24, 2019

Michael "Denny" Walsh of Trevose, PA passed away at the age of 71 at home after a lengthy illness. Michael was the 11th of 13 children of Thomas and Beatrice (Richards) Walsh of Philadelphia. Denny was born and raised in Philadelphia. As a young man Denny worked at Tony & Pete's Pizzeria up until he accepted the honor to serve his country and joined the United States Marine Corps. Denny trained in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Denny served in the Vietnam War. Denny returned home a very proud Marine. He worked at the United States Steel Mill in Fairless Hills where he was a Maintenance Worker in the Open Hearth and Coke Works Department.  Denny was the loving father of five children. Denny was preceded in death by his son Daniel Walsh of Palmyra, PA. He is survived by Michael Walsh and his wife Danielle of Bensalem, Kevin Walsh of Bristol, PA., Angela Sogness and her Husband Michael of Fairless Hills, PA., and Stephanie Walsh of New Jersey. He is the loving Grandpop of Jake, Zack, Nick Walsh of Palmyra, Michael, Roman and Addie Walsh of Bensalem, Michael, Logan, Austin and Brianna, Ava, and Arianna of Fairless Hills, and Tyler and Aiden of Levittown. He is also survived by his sister Mabel Juliff and brother Patrick Walsh. Denny now joins his Walsh Family in Heaven, Mary Udzinski, Thomas Walsh, Barbara Walsh, Joseph Walsh, Larry Walsh, Arlene Keiffer, Edward Walsh, Hilda Jefferson, Catherine McLaughlin, and Eugene Walsh.  Denny has been in a loving relationship with Barbara Decker of Croydon. To know Denny, you knew he was a Proud American Marine. Not a day would go by he wasn't wearing Red White and Blue. He loved the Philadelphia Phillies "Ain't no stopping us now", his World Series Anthem. He could be found at the Levittown VFW with a full dance card singing and dancing to the oldies. He was the life of the party imitating Foster Brooks like no one else while holding his O’Doul’s. He belonged to Better Breathers where he made everyone laugh on their worst breathing day. He could be found competing with his Big Brother Ed for the best coupon savings of the week joking they would be banned from Shop Rite of Bensalem. So until we meet again be like Our Marine "Stand for the flag, kneel for the cross, Love your Family”.  Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 from 8:30 - 10 am at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol – Oxford Valley Road, Levittown, PA 19057.  Burial will immediately follow with Military Honors at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Chandler Hall Hospice, 99 Barclay Street, Newtown, PA 18940.
