Matthew F D'Aguanno

Matthew D’Aguanno, 73, passed away June 11, 2018 at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, PA after a long and hard fought illness.Mr. D’Aguanno was born on May 29, 1945 in Brooklyn, NY to Connie and Michael D'Aguanno. He was drafted into the US Army after High School and served two years in Germany. After an honorable discharge, he returned home to work for General Motors Service Parts Division in Bethpage, NY. He married Evelyn Rigge on August 24, 1969. They moved to Holbrook, NY and raised one son. Mr. D'Aguanno became heavily involved in pigeon racing and was a prominent member of the International Federation of American Homing Pigeon Fanciers on Long Island and then in Bristol, PA after moving to Fairless Hills, PA in 1991. He also became involved with the UAW Local 2177 Retirees after his retirement from General Motors and with Bristol Township Senior Citizens Inc. where he enjoyed calling Bingo. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn, and son, Christopher along with his dog April. His family pays this tribute to him, 'Matt had the biggest heart one could imagine. He had a soft spot for children and animals and opened his heart and his home to many beloved people and pets over the years. He will be sorely missed.'Interment will be held at Washington Crossing Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
