Mary V. Sottile

With sadness in our hearts, we announce the passing of Mary V. Sottile (nee Keating) of Bristol, PA.  She passed away peacefully on Feb. 27, 2021 at Chandler Hall in Newtown with her loving family by her side.  She was 85 years old.  Born and raised in Bristol Borough where she has been a life-long resident, she was a retired employee of the Internal Revenue Service as a tax examiner.  Mary was a loving wife and dedicated mother.  She especially loved her role as Mom Mom.  She treasured her grandchildren and enjoyed spending every minute she could with them.  She was their biggest fan, attending all their sports and academic events.  When she wasn’t with her grandchildren, she liked to read and quilt.  She loved everything Irish.  Her loss is immeasurable but so is the love she left behind.  She is preceded in death by her parents Michael and Helen Keating and son-in-law Gregory Chimbos.  Mary leaves behind a lifetime of wonderful memories to her loving husband Dominick (Sunny) Sottile of 59 years, her children Mariann Clark and her husband Michael, Dominick Sottile and his wife Carolyn, and Jeannine Chimbos and Michael Meacham, her grandchildren Andrew, Rachel, Chris, Nicholas, Helen and Ben.  She will also be greatly missed by her sister Sara Jane Sottile, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Family and friends are invited to her memorial Mass at 10am on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at St. Ann Church, 357 Dorrance St., Bristol, PA.  Interment will be held privately at St Mark Cemetery.

Keeping with CDC guidelines, social distancing and masks are mandated indoors and outdoors.
