Mary Simpson

Mary Simpson passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family in Bensalem, PA on April 18, 2018, she was 87 years old.  Born in New York, Mary enjoyed many professions over her lifetime, she worked as a newspaper media woman, receptionist and calling in substitute teachers for NHS.  She was an artist who enjoyed bowling, shooting pool, and was the best cook.  Mary was a homebody who loved taking care of her family and being a grandmother to Ashley and John whom she cherished immensely.  She was the best mom in the world and enjoyed living with her daughter June and son-in-law Joseph after her husband’s passing.  She will be remembered as a “Sunday” lady who enjoyed the day spending time with her family and making gravy and as a strong willed woman who always got the job done.  Mary was pre-deceased by her beloved husband of 63 years Norman Simpson and her beloved son Gordon Simpson whom she mourned everyday who died at 54.  She will be sadly missed by her beloved daughter and son-in-law June and Joseph Donlon, her grandchildren John Richards and Ashley Richards, and her partner of 10 years Bill Warbrittan.  Relatives and friends are invited to call Saturday, April 28, 2018 from 9 - 11 am at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol – Oxford Valley Road, Levittown, PA 19057.  Service will be at 11 am.  Interment will be held at Resurrection Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center mskcc.org/donate/fight-cancer To order memorial trees or send flowers to the family in memory of Mary Simpson, please visit our flower store.
