Mary Joan D'Ascendis

Mary “Joana” D’Ascendis of Bristol, PA passed away peacefully on November 25, 2018 at her home surrounded by her sons.  She was 95.  Born and raised in South Fork, Pa, she has been a resident of Bristol for over 60 years.  She was the devoted wife of the late Louis Gene D’Ascendis. She also was preceded by her daughter in law Rosemary (nee: King), her sister Rose, her brothers Phil and Medio Caucci. Mrs. D’Ascendis was a devoted parishioner of St. Ann Church where she was very active with the former church bingo. Mary was a very traditional Italian wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  Many people will miss her special handmade Italian pasta which she gave lovingly to all people who knew her.  She will be greatly missed by her sons Gene and Bernard and his wife Alison. She will also be missed by her adoring grandchildren David (Julia) and Elizabeth (Kevin) and great grandson Walter.  She is also survived by her sisters Eda, Tina and Sylvia and many loving nieces and nephews especially Karen and Betty.  Relatives and friends are invited to call Saturday, December 1, 2018 from 9 - 10 am at St. Ann Church, 357 Dorrance Street, Bristol, PA 19007.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am.  Interment will be held at Monument Cemetery in Beverly, NJ.
