Marlene L Pucher

September 4, 1934 — December 15, 2017

Marlene L. (Porcari) Pucher, 83, of Levittown, PA passed away peacefully on December 15, 2017 at her home with her loving husband Walter and family by her side. Marlene was born and raised in Kelayres, PA, married Walter in 1954, and the couple moved to Levittown shortly thereafter where they lived and raised six children. She was a dedicated wife and mother and extremely active in her community. She loved to cook for her family and was renowned for her Italian meatballs and chicken cutlets. She was a member of St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church, served as secretary of the League of the Sacred Heart, and spent many hours coordinating fundraisers, events, and making pierogis. She worked for a short time as a Home Health Aid and was an active member of the Bristol Twp. and Oxford Valley Senior Centers as well as SJW Seniors at Knights of Columbus. She enjoyed family get togethers, visits with friends, and traveling with Walter on the church and senior center trips she organized. She was the life of the party where ever she went and cherished bringing smiles to the people around her. Marlene was always helping others in need and her family called her the “unpaid social worker.” Whenever anybody needed a helping hand, a ride, or a meal, Marlene was there for them without hesitation and with a smile on her face. Despite suffering from Parkinson’s disease for many years she never complained about her illness or lost her sense of humor. She was making her family and friends smile and laugh up until her final day on this earth. Marlene was truly an angel on this earth and will be greatly missed. Marlene was preceded in death by her brother, Frank Porcari, and sister Lucille Martin. She is survived by her husband Walter, children Tom (Laura), Linda Jernigan (John), Rose Wallace (Ken), Arlene Jamieson (Paula), David (Nicole), Michael (Nancee); grandchildren Tommy, Mat, Emily, James, Jonathan, Michael, Amanda, Ashlin, CJ, Jacob, Gabrielle, Nicolas, John, Alyssa; brother John Porcari and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, December 22, 2017 from 8:30 am – 9:30 am at St Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, 2026 Bath Road, Bristol, PA 19007. Funeral mass will begin at 9:30 am. Interment will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of her name to St Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, 2026 Bath Road, Bristol, PA 19007, or The Michael J.
