Marijean Vlassenko

Marijean Vlassenko (nee: Gattelli) of Bristol passed away peacefully on March 1, 2018 at St. Mary Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.  She was 68.  Born and raised in Bristol Boro, she was a graduate of Bloomsburg University where she received her BA and Master’s Degree in Education.  Marijean is a retired first grade teacher from the Bristol Boro School District where she was employed for 30 years.  She enjoyed spending time with her grandson, crossword puzzles, walking the board walk in Seaside and playing the arcade games.  She is preceded in death by her parents Eugene and Mary Gattelli, and her brother Eugene A. Gattelli.  Marijean will be greatly missed by her loving husband Roman of 41 years, daughters, Cathy and Caryn Vlassenko, and her grandson Alex.  She will also be greatly missed by her brother Michael Gattelli and his wife Yvonne and her in laws, Ksenia, Walt, and Louise Vlassenko, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  Relatives and friends are invited to call from 6 – 8 pm Monday, March 5, 2018 and again Tuesday morning 10 – 11 am at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol – Oxford Valley Road, Levittown, PA 19057.  Service will be at 11 am.  Entombment will be follow in Resurrection Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made in memory of her name to the American Cancer Society and or American Heart Association.
