Marie Genevieve Angelo peacefully passed away just days after celebrating her 100th birthday. She was preceded in death by her cherished husband of 54 years, Les. Together, they lovingly operated the family tavern, the Midway Inn, in Morrisville for many years. Marie dedicated a significant portion of her career to working for a district court judge in Bristol Township.
A longtime resident of Landreth Manor, Marie treasured her afternoons spent enjoying wine in the company of friends and neighbors. She was also a passionate baker, well-known for her delicious pizzelles and ricotta cookies, which she generously shared with those around her.
Marie will be deeply missed by her daughters and their spouses, Frances and Michael Hennessy, and Constance and William Knox; her grandchildren, Felicia Hennessy, Michael Hennessy, Taylor Knox, and Morgan Peacock; and her seven great-grandchildren. She is now reunited with her beloved family members who predeceased her: her parents, Thomas and Margaret Spitzo, and her brother, Thomas Spitzo.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing and Mass on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at 10 a.m. at St. Ann Church, located at 357 Dorrance Street, Bristol, PA.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Ann Church.
Marie's legacy of love and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
