Margarete Bomentre

October 17, 1935 — January 2, 2022

Margarete Bomentre, dear Mother, Mom-Mom, Oma, and loving friend passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 2nd, 2022. She was 86. Margarete was born in Hailer Gelnhausen, Germany where she grew up with her loving parents and siblings. She met her true love, Joseph (Joey) while he was stationed in the army in Germany and once married, they moved together to Bristol, PA where she resided for 66 years.

Margarete’s true love in life was her family.  She raised three children, teaching them family values and beliefs that live on. She was always there to listen; and to tell you exactly what was on her mind. She has passed on her love of food, music, and celebration, but most importantly loyalty to family.

Margarete loved her garden, birds, flowers, reading, and traveled all over the country and world with her husband and children. She appreciated the true beauty in nature and spent countless summers down the shore making memories. She was active with her church, supported Children in Ministry, Scouts, and was an active member of the Deborah Hospital Ladies Guild that helped to facilitate funding for patient care.

Margarete leaves behind and watches over: her loving daughter, Antonette Bomentre, her “bubala,” her son Anthony Bomentre and wife Karen Kramer. Her cherished grandchildren: Amanda Angellella (Matthew), Nicholas Angellella, Andrew Angellella, Steven Schreckengost, Dr. Samuel Kramer (Michelle), Jeremy Kramer (Theresa), and her great grandchildren, who she was so proud of and who loved their Oma: Jeremy, Noah, Natalie, Sammy, and Deryk. Margarete is also survived by several nieces and nephews, her extended family through children’s families, and many, many cherished friends. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Joseph Bomentre, her beloved daughter, Anna Marie Schreckengost, her parents Johannes & Margarete Freund, her brother Gunther Freund, and loving sister Annalena Nichols.
