Margaret J McGovern

Margaret J. McGovern (nee: Cameron) of Levittown, PA, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2018, at St. Mary Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.  She was 92.  Born and raised in Phila., PA, she became one of the original Levittown homeowners in 1955.  Peg was an original parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church where she was a devoted member.  She enjoyed taking trips to the Atlantic City casinos and Parx’s casino, and playing the lottery; but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  She is preceded in death by her loving husband John McGovern of 76 years; and her sister Edna Cameron Whitworth and her husband Francis.  Peg will be greatly missed by her loving children Patricia McGurk and her husband Edward, Gerald McGovern and his wife Karen, Mark McGovern and his wife Lisa; her grandchildren Amy (Chris), Lauren (Matt), Megan (Dan), Sean (Colleen), Julia and Daniel; and 6 great grandchildren. She will also be greatly missed by her niece Kathy Westrol and many other nieces and nephews and her close friend Lena.  Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, 9-11am, at Our Lady of Grace Church, 225 Bellevue Ave., Penndel, PA.  Funeral Mass will begin at 11am.  Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to Lymphoma & Leukemia Society at 888-557-7177 or www.lls.org.
