Karen Lynn Clegg

January 23, 1947 — July 4, 2021

Karen Lynn Clegg, 74, of South Bound Brook, New Jersey, gained ultimate independence from this world on July 4, 2021, in Loma Linda, California, and is now worshiping at the feet of Jesus in heaven.

Karen was born in Livingston, New Jersey, to Paul and Marjorie Peschell on January 23, 1947. She attended Livingston High School and graduated in 1965. Karen worked as a medical secretary for the majority of her adult life; however, “all she ever really wanted to be was a mom,” which she proudly proclaimed to her children right up until her last days. She was always active in church, playing the piano and singing in the choir. She also traveled with the “Ted Cornell Chorale” for a couple of years. A couple of hobbies included painting in the style of Bob Ross and turning her home into an outpost of Home Goods.

Karen was the light of her family and was always ready with a smile or a laugh, even if it was at her own expense. She kept her family entertained with enough memories to last the rest of their lives. Karen emanated both inner and outer beauty, no doubt due to her love for Jesus Christ.

Her strong faith was evident to everyone she encountered. Even up until her last breath, Karen displayed a grace and peace that only someone assured of everlasting life could.

Karen is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 52 years, Kenneth Clegg, her two daughters Rachel MacKay (Jeff), and Jennifer Clegg and her son, Daniel Clegg (Andrea) as well as her brother, Richard Peschell (Kathy), sister-in-law Kitty Peschell and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Marjorie Peschell as well as her brother Kenneth Peschell.

Visitation will be held at Faith Presbyterian Church, 525 S. Olds Blvd., Fairless Hills, PA on August 12 from 9-11:30 AM, with a service celebrating her life to follow immediately. Interment will take place at Washington Crossing National Cemetery at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Samaritan’s Purse or Faith Presbyterian Church. If anyone really wants to send flowers, Karen approved of spider mums and roses … exclusively.

Karen has fought the good fight, she has finished the race and God’s will has been done. “But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” ~Isaiah 40:31
