Joseph W McGarvey

Joseph W. McGarvey of Levittown, PA passed away peacefully on March 1, 2019 at Silver Lake Nursing Home surrounded by his loving family. He was 89.  Born in Philadelphia, raised in Bensalem, he has been a resident of Levittown for the past 40 years.  He was a retired employee of US Steel.  After retirement he enjoyed fishing and crabbing down at the Jersey shore, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his wife Eva of 55 years and his son Joseph McGarvey.  Joseph will be greatly missed by his children James McGarvey and his wife Barbara and Eva Benham and her husband Robert, his six grandchildren Michelle, Joey, Timmy, Brian, Jason, Joshua and his 7 great grandchildren.  Relatives and friends are invited to call Friday, March 8, 2019 from 10 - 11 am at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol – Oxford Valley Road, Levittown, PA 19057.  Service will be at 11 am.  Interment will follow at St Mark Cemetery.
