Joseph E. Kane

Joseph E. Kane, 81, passed away peacefully on Friday December 23, 2022. Joe was born on May 18^th, 1942, in Philadelphia, PA.  He was the son of the late Edward and Catherine (Trout) Kane.  Joe served the city of Philadelphia as a FOP Highway Patrol police officer, where he received many commendations for his 20 years of service.  Joe enjoyed life. He liked to watch the English Premier Soccer League, garden, go to the casino, and visit Ireland.

Joe was one of 10 siblings and is survived by his brother Tim Kane (Mary), and his sisters Kathy Vasso, Susan Kirk (Jim) and Lisa Cerrone (Ed). He preceded in death by his brothers Ned, Jack, Pat, and Kevin and his sister Mary “Sis” Howard.  Joe will be greatly missed by his nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at St Mary Hospital, Nazareth Hospital (Vitas – Hospice) for their compassionate care during this time.

Family and friends are invited to gather Wednesday, December 28, 2022, from 10 – 11 am at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol – Oxford Valley Road, Levittown, PA 19057.  Interment will be held privately at All Saints Cemetery.
