Joseph N Amodei

Joseph N. Amodei, age 87, died peacefully at his home on August 28, 2018. Joe was born in Philadelphia, and was a resident of Hulmeville, PA for the past 53 years. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force and employed in the vending business for most of his life. A crooner himself, he loved the music of Crosby, Como and Sinatra and was an avid Turner Classic Movies fan and TCM Festival goer. He had a quick sense of humor and was great at telling a joke. He gave great hugs and could hold a room with an entertaining story or two. He had the pleasure of having a large group of friends with whom he met on a regular basis. He worked tirelessly, along with his wife Helen, on the campaigns of Mike Fitzpatrick to elect him to our House of Representatives. Joe will be greatly missed by his children, Cindi Rosenberger and her husband Bob, Joe Amodei and his wife Ginger, Joanne Williams and her husband Joe, David Amodei, and Steven Amodei and his girlfriend Yvonna. He is also survived by his grandchildren Robert, Jeff, Kristina, Dana, Steven, David, Andrew, Daniel, Nichole and Helena, as well as his great grandchildren Lucy, Leo, Aubrey, Ellie, Addy, Ella, and Lucas. He will also be missed by his companion of recent years, Gloria Brennan who brought joy and happiness into his life. He was met at the gates of Heaven by his wife of 58 years, Helen, his father and mother Fritz and Rose Amodei, his granddaughter Katie Amodei, and a wide assortment of family members and friends. Interment will be held Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road Newtown, PA 18940. Please arrive precisely at 11:15 a.m., so that interment can take place at 11:30 a.m., due to cemetery restrictions.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Philabundance, 3616 South Galloway Street, Philadelphia, PA 19148.
