John W Roberts

John W. Roberts passed away peacefully on May 22, 2018 at Chandler Hall Hospice in Newtown, PA. He was about to celebrate his 81st birthday. The youngest of seven brothers and sisters, John was born and raised in the Abington area. In 1962 he moved to Levittown, PA to raise his family. John spent his career as an Engineer. His favorite accomplishment was working on Weight Reduction projects for Military Aircraft. A devout Catholic, he spent his retirement years serving as a Eucharistic Minister, attending weekly Adoration and participating in Bible Study classes. John was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Joan, daughter Diane Graves and son in law Wilson Graves. He will be sadly missed by his son Michael Roberts (Judy) and daughter Karen Armstrong (Bill), grandchildren Nicholas Graves (Valarie), Nathaniel Graves, Corinne West (Brandon), Brian Armstrong (Raphaelle), Megan McGovern (Daniel), great grandchildren Jillian West, Kyle Graves, Lucas Graves and Riley McGovern. Relatives and friends are invited to call Friday, May 25th from 9:30-10:30AM at Queen of the Universe Church, 2443 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA 19056 with Mass immediately following. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Bensalem, PA. Memorial contributions can be made to Queen of the Universe Church.
