John P. Schank, Sr.

John P. Schank, Sr. passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at his home surrounded by family and friends. John was a lifetime resident of the West Bristol section of Bristol Township. He was 59 years old. John fought a long hard battle with cancer.  Graduate of the Harry S. Truman High School and Bucks County Technical School class of 1982. John was known to many as a jack of all trades, he was skilled in many different areas but loved doing woodworking and household projects the most.  

John was a longtime employee of the Graham Packaging company that was in Bristol Township. 

He was preceded in death by his father Louis E. Schank Jr, his son Jason P. Schank, father-in-law and mother-in-law Robert E. and Mary (nee McLean) Wiese.  

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Susan (nee Wiese) Schank of West Bristol, three sons John P. Schank, Jr (Reichal) of Bristol, Justin Schank of West Bristol and Joshua Schank of Hatboro. Six grandchildren Mariah, John, Jayson, Maribella, Jaxson, and Jamison. His mother Florence (nee Zobel) Schank of West Bristol,  brother Louis E. Schank, III of Bensalem, and  sisters Debbie Beck of West Bristol and Linda Smith of Bensalem, brothers and sisters-in-law Robert Beck of West Bristol, Brad Michaels of Bensalem, James Longstreet of West Bristol, Ellen Longstreet of West Bristol and May Lovett of Benton.  Also aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews. 

Family and friends are invited to gather Friday March 3, 2023  from 10 – 11 am at Hope Lutheran Church 2600 Haines Road, Levittown, PA 19055. Funeral Service will begin at 11am. Interment will be held private at a later date at the convenience of the family.
