John A Paolini, Sr,

June 23, 1932 — April 12, 2021

John Paolini, June 23, 1932 - April 12, 2021

He passed as he lived - gentle, generous, and loving.

John was a force, greeting everyone who came into his orbit with a curious and open heart - a gift he received from his beloved mother and nurtured by his large family over countless hours at the Sunday dinner table, talking and gossiping about anything and everything. John never sought attention but welcomed everyone he met with his trademark smile that instantly made you feel like you were with an old friend. John proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict where his sharp intellect, engineering mindset, and natural leadership abilities earned him a quick promotion to the rank of lieutenant, leading a group of men who performed the tough work of rebuilding the country’s infrastructure.

Most people in Bucks County knew John through the business he ran for 68 years. The craft and consideration he brought to his work spoke for itself, so much so that he never had to advertise to get clients. Those of us fortunate enough to have his work in our homes know that we received more than a beautiful tile job.

While John will no doubt be remembered for the contributions he made to our country and through his beautiful workmanship and the mentoring and support he offered so many, the legacy he was most proud of was being a father to his four adoring children Bill, Alberta, Jeannie and John and his seven grandchildren, Tiffany, Stephen, William, Eugene, Travis, Riley and Nina. His six great grandchildren, Braxton, Gracie, Grant, William, Annabelle and Evelyn. John also leaves behind his committed and loving partner of 36 years, Jean Snyder, with whom he split his time between Yardley and Ft Lauderdale.

John never let life's challenges keep him from living the life he wanted. He was a trailblazer for men of his generation - when his marriage ended and the responsibility of raising four young children was thrust upon him, he embraced it and never looked back. Convention never got in the way of his instinct or compassion. John happily played the role of mother, father and friend without ever missing a beat.
