On December 21, 2021, we lost our loving husband, father, brother, grandpop and great grandpop, John J. Dacenzo. John was born to Mary (nee Jordan) and John Dacenzo Sr. on May 25, 1940, in Philadelphia, Pa. He was one of 8 children. John served in the Marine Corps (1957-1960), of which he was extremely proud. He retired from the Sheet Metal Workers Local 19 in 2000 and enjoyed a long retirement. He belonged to the Langhorne Rod & Gun Club; spent many hours doing what he loved. John loved people. He loved talking about bowling and about anything you wanted to talk about. He cared about his neighbors and would always be on the watch if something were amiss. Thus, he got the name Mayor but that was a good thing. Whatever came along –we would handle it-. He enjoyed the Eagles and the Phillies and the Saints - yelling at the TV when they were not playing well. John loved his ice cream, cookies, cake and all that good stuff. He is preceded in death by his daughter Angela Hoffman (Joseph). John is survived by his wife, Lynda (Hopkins-Bowman), sister Nancy Sibley, daughters Sheryl Dacenzo, Donna Schmidt (John), Stepchildren Lynda Bowman, Joseph Bowman, and William Bowman. He will be greatly missed by his 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Sadly missed by his nieces and nephews. John loved the spring and the warming weather. Family and friends are invited to gather Saturday, April 16, 2022, from 10 - 11 am at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol – Oxford Valley Road, Levittown, PA 19057. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
