Joan M. Petrino

Joan M. Petrino, nee Freudenberger, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, in Bristol, PA, at the age of 89. Joan was born on October 9, 1934, in Tamaqua, PA. Throughout her life, Joan dedicated her time and energy as a Sales Associate at Boscov's Department Store, where she touched the lives of many with her warm smile and exceptional customer service.
 
Joan's memory will be cherished by her surviving loved ones, including her devoted husband of 57 years, Frederick J. Petrino, her son Douglas E. Homan, her niece Linda Sutor (John), as well as 18 great nieces and nephews who adored their Aunt Joan.  She was preceded in death by her nephew Robert Freudenberger, nieces Sharon Freudenberger and Lori Plakis.

In this time of grieving loss, let us remember the joy that Joan brought into the lives of those around her. Her kindness and compassion will forever remain in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
 
A Graveside Service to honor Joan's life will be held at 9:30 am on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940.  Please arrive at 9:15 am so that interment can take place at 9:30 am, due to cemetery restrictions.  
 
While we mourn the loss of Joan from our earthly presence, we take solace in knowing that she now rests in peace. May her legacy of love and generosity continue to inspire us all.
