Joan P Anders

Joan Phyllis Anders of Levittown, PA passed away Monday, December 25, 2023, at Phoebe Wyncote. She was 87.  

Joan was born in Yonkers, New York on March 10, 1936, unto the Union of Ruth Rehermann Anders and John Anders. She started her early education in New York at the Epiphany Parish Elementary School in 1950 and graduated from the Ursuline School in New York and received an associate degree from Hunters College in New York.

Joan secured a job with Chase Manhattan Bank as a Loan Officer and was assigned to Puerto Rico for several years. She later transferred to the U.S. and switched jobs by working with General Motors Company for several years until her retirement in 1994 after a fatal automobile accident, which left her disabled

Joan is preceded in death by her mother Ruth Rehermann, following  her grandparents, Dr. John F. Rehermann of New York and Catheryn Rehermann of Yonkers, New York and her two uncles, Dr. John F. Rehermann Jr. and Dr. Robert L. Rehermann of Haddonfield, New Jersey. 

Joan leaves to mourn her loss, her beloved stepdaughter, Jaqueline Williams, her favorite step-grandchildren, Harilyn and Gerald (Kemi), three great-grandchildren, Trudy, David, and Abigail. Also to mourn her loss, are her dear good friends: Candice Vandine of North Carolina, Pat Powers of Michigan, and Drew Ray of Florida. 

May her soul and all the faithful departed rest in peace.

Family and friends are invited to gather Friday, January 5, 2024, from 1 - 2 pm at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol – Oxford Valley Road, Levittown, PA 19057.  Funeral service will begin at 2 pm.  Interment is private under the direction of Galzerano Funeral Home.
