James J Westerman

James J. Westerman, 66, passed on February 22, 2021. He was born to Norman and Ann in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on September 30, 1954 and was one of 6 children, Betty Ann, Buddy, John (Linda), Kathy (Rusty) and Theresa. 

He married Nancy in 1978 and they lived together in Levittown, Pennsylvania for 39 years. Nancy and Jim were an inseparable couple and a living example of two becoming one in marriage. Together they raised 4 children Michael, Jim (Valerie), Jeff (Erin), Brian (Jessica). He is survived by 17 grandchildren Jacob, James, Zachary, Emily, Jayden, Joslyn, Nicholaus, Julia, Sean, Addison, Isaac, Blake, Lyla, Leighton, Colt, Jack and Cooper. He will be sorely missed by his sister in law Susan Pierson, and Bobby, Shannon, Kristie, Nicole and dozens of other loving nieces and nephews who all have a special place in their hearts for “Uncle Jimmy”.  He loved his extended family of tight knit brother and sister in laws and we will all never forget the good times and parties we all spent together.  Jim spent 36 years as a Union Plumber in the City of Philadelphia and coached youth sports for over 35 years for not only his kids, but many of his grandkids, and nieces and nephews as well.  You won’t find a coworker, coach or friend that won’t crack a smile and tell a story about the time they spent with Jim.  He truly was a “good guy” with a heart of gold.  Jim was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan, and close friends and family will always remember Eagles Sundays’ at Jim and Nancy’s. 

He was always there for everyone, no matter the time or place.  His big voice, big smile and big heart will never be forgotten and lives on in his boys, grandkids and most especially his loving wife.  Gone but not forgotten, we will all miss you, and wait for the day we meet you again.

Family and friends are invited to gather Saturday, February 27, 2021 from 9 - 10 am Our Lady of Grace Church, 225 Bellevue Avenue, Penndel, PA 19047.  Funeral Mass will begin at 10 am.  Interment will follow at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607 and St. Jude Honors, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Keeping with CDC guidelines, social distancing and masks are mandated indoors and outdoors.
