Jacquelyn Sozio passed away peacefully at home on Friday, December 15, 2023. She was 90 years old.
Jackie was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to parents Marvin and Margaret Kelly. She grew up in a loving family in Quakertown and Philadelphia. At age 15, Jackie met the love of her life, Al, to whom she was married for 70 years. Jackie began working at the Crescent Box Company at age 17 as a secretary and retired from the same company as a vice president. Jackie enjoyed spending time with (and feeding) her loved ones, reading, watching old movies, and decorating for holidays (with Christmas decorations staying up a little longer each year). She will be remembered for her fierce love of her family and friends, her ability to make everyone feel special, her beautiful marriage to Al, and the way she could devour a bag of Hershey kisses. Her family is grateful for Jackie’s warmth, the love she shared with all, and the outstanding example she provided of a life well-lived.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, her brother David Kelly, and her husband. She is survived by her three sons Steve (Laura), Randy (Terri), and Darrell (Christine) Sozio. She is also survived by her grandchildren Christie (Rick), Megan (Max), Paul, Jacquelyn (Drew), Anthony, and Riley Sozio and Dana (Mike) Horner, her great-grandchildren Frankie Sozio, Asher Wasserman, Aleksander Rushwick, Kade Benjamin, and Juliette Horner, and many extended family members and friends.
Family and friends are invited to gather February 16, 2024, from 10 - 11 am at Our Lady of Grace Church, 225 Bellevue Avenue, Penndel, PA 19047. Funeral mass will begin at 11 am. Interment is private under the direction of Galzerano Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to A Place 4 Me, a nonprofit organization where Jackie’s granddaughter works.
