Irene Marie Monks

Irene Marie Monks (nee: Petrino) of Levittown, PA passed away peacefully on July 10, 2018 at her home with her loving family by her side.  Born and raised in Bristol Borough she has been a resident of Levittown since 1954.  She was the owner and operator of Lenny Monks Auto in Bristol.  She was a devoted parishioner to St Michael the Archangel Church and a member of the choir. Irene enjoyed taking trips with her family up and down the east coast and into Canada, Bermuda and Italy.  She also enjoyed trips to Wildwood, NJ, afternoon lunches with her sisters, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.  She is preceded in death by her loving husband Leonard Monks of 63 years, and her siblings, Danny, Lucy, Charles, Michael and James.  Irene will be greatly missed by her children Irene Kazan and her husband Steven, Leonard Monks Jr. and Mary Lou Garris and her husband Jim, her grandchildren Tina Marie (Chris), Ronnie, Stephanie (Mike), Irene Marie (Andrew), Michele (Sol), Toni (Joel), Lucy (Kevin), Kimberly (Colin), Leonard III (Christine), Grant (Bridget), Laura (Corey), James Jr and 24 great grandchildren.  She will also be greatly missed by her siblings Marie (Sam), Teresa (Tom), Freddy (Joan), Dominic (Juanita), Sally (Bob) and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  Relatives and friends are invited to Irene’s Funeral Mass, 10 am Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Saint Michael the Archangel, 66 Levittown Parkway, Levittown, PA 19054.  Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
