Harry P Longbottom, Jr.

Harry Peter Longbottom Jr., 72, passed away on January 2, 2019, at his home in Bristol PA from liver failure. Harry was born in Philadelphia PA on February 18, 1946. He was one of six, the only boy surrounded by five sisters.  Harry is preceded in death by his father Harry Longbottom Sr., his mother Martha Kaufold, his sisters Helen, Pat, Reenie and his son Brian. Harry is survived by two sisters, six children, and nine grandchildren. Harry was a beloved father, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend. Harry brought love and laughter to everyone he knew. Harry found great happiness when spending time with his grandchildren skipping rocks, fishing and playing in the water fountain.  Harry enlisted in the United States Army for a period of three years to serve his country from April 12, 1965 until April 12, 1968. Upon discharge, Harry immediately reenlisted and served a second tour of Vietnam from April 13, 1968 until December 10, 1969, when he was medically discharged. Serving his country was of great importance to Harry and brought him great pride. Harry earned many metals during his time of service including the purple heart.  Interment will be held Wednesday, January, 9, 2019 at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road Newtown, PA 18940. Due to cemetery restrictions, please arrive precisely at 1:15 pm, so that interment can take place at 1:30 pm.
