Gina Marie Lentz

May 31, 1971 — March 26, 2022

Gina Marie Lentz passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Abington-Jefferson Hospital, Abington, PA at the age of 50.  She was born in Bristol, Pa and was a resident of Levittown for 42 years.

Gina was a 1990 graduate of Harry S. Truman High School where she played field hockey and graduated at the rank of Lieutenant Command of Truman’s Naval ROTC Unit.   She was employed by Home Depot at Home Services in Pennsauken, NJ as an Installation Coordinator for Philadelphia, Delaware, and Maryland and consider everyone she worked with her family.

Gina spent many years as an assistant coach at Levittown Reign Cheerleading. Her kindness and positive attitude helped build young athletes into better young people. She may have started on the sidelines but soon became an integral part of the program. Her dedication will not go unnoticed in the memories she helped create.

Gina was an Eagles and avid Nascar fan, her favorite Nascar driver being Tony Stewart, she loved going to Dover with her husband, sister Eileen and George Brooks for the races.  Gina loved going with her mother to different charity events, designer bingos, LPGA Tournament’s at Seaview Country Club in Galloway Twp., NJ and traveling to different State’s with her mother to attend Dept. 56 Collector Gatherings, taking yearly Lancaster Trips and seeing Sight and Sound Theater and the American Music Theater Shows.  Gina was an avid supporter of the American Cancer Society and always walk for a cure for cancer.

Gina was predeceased by her son Michael P. Kurfuss Jr. and her brother Earl E. Hart Jr.  She is survived by her loving husband of 25 years William “Bill” Lentz; daughter Samantha Kurfuss; step-son Paul Lentz and wife Deanne; her mother Linda Mac Donnell Taylor and step-father Charles Taylor; sister Eileen Hart and finance George Brooks; her loving granddaughters who lived with her and were the love of her life and whom she adored; Kenzie Apple; Brooklynn Giove; Joanna Soto and grandsons Paulie Lentz and Anthony Lentz; brother-in-law Chuck Lentz and wife Diane; sister-in-law Janet Lentz Spoon and husband Stan; sister-in-law Barbara Lentz Johnson and husband Harry and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to A Memorial Celebration of Life honoring Gina on Saturday, June 4, 2022, from 9 – 11 am at Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol-Oxford Valley Road, Levittown, PA 19057.  

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Gina’s memory to St Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105.
