German Boneta

German Boneta, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully at home on February 16, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on May 2, 1931, in Utuado, Puerto Rico, and made an indelible mark on the lives of those fortunate enough to know him.

In 1951, German relocated to Pennsylvania, where he established his home in Bristol. It was there that he met his beloved wife, Ida, with whom he shared a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support. Together, they nurtured a family bound by strong values and a deep sense of community.

German is survived by his devoted children, Diana DeJesus (Manuel) and German Boneta Jr., who carry forward his legacy of kindness and resilience. He was a proud grandfather to his grandsons, Manuel DeJesus (Nikki) and Angel DeJesus (Jamie), and took immense joy in the lives of his great-grandchildren: Nickolas, Eric, Carly, Dana, Kellie, and Mayson. Each of these individuals held a special place in his heart, and he cherished the memories created with them.

He also leaves behind his sister, Vene Barreto, who, along with the rest of the family, will remember him for his warmth and wisdom.

German was predeceased by his parents, Marcial and Mercedes Boneta, as well as his siblings: Elonio Boneta, Emma Boneta, and Bonifacia Boneta. Their memories undoubtedly remain alive in the hearts of those who loved them.

Family and friends are invited to gather Saturday, February 22, 2025, from 10 - 12 pm at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol - Oxford Valley Road, Levittown, PA 19057. Funeral service will begin at 12 pm. Interment is private and managed with care under the direction of Galzerano Funeral Home.

As a man who lived a life rich with family and friendship, German will be deeply missed. His legacy will continue through the generations he nurtured and loved. He touched many lives and leaves behind a world that is better for having known him.
