George A Bowyer

With profound sadness we announce George A. Bowyer, age 96, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 17, m 2023 in Yardley, Pennsylvania. In life he attended Bristol High School where he excelled in baseball and football. He also played the trumpet and was a lover of the great outdoors. He served his country in World War II aboard the USS Tuscaloosa in both the Pacific and Atlantic theatres. After his distinguished service, he worked for OKO Plush company as a weaver until he founded his swimming pool construction business in 1962, Bowyer Pools. An avid fisherman, he won many tournaments at the Jersey Shore and Outer Banks of North Carolina. After retiring from his pool business, he earned his charter fishing captain’s license at age 73 and founded a charter fishing business out of Venice, Florida. He especially loved fishing for tarpon. Preceded in death by his beloved grandson, Michael Polisano, he is survived by his loving wife, Lorraine, daughters Patricia Polisano (Angelo), Lori Alexander (Jack) and son George (Inge), granddaughters Lisa Francis (Aaron), Amy Alexander (Brookes), Allison Alexander and Ashley Alexander, as well as great grandsons Dominic Francis, Joseph Francis, and great granddaughter Brooke Pippen. Services will be held private under the direction of Galzerano Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorial contributions would be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N.
