Frederick T Olsen

Surrounded by his dearest loved ones, Frederick Thomas Olsen, 86, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2023.

Born April 20, 1937, in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Fritchoff and Clara (nee: Coates) Olsen. Tom grew up in the Frankford area of Philadelphia County and from here met the love of his life, Patricia.

A natural entrepreneur, Tom led companies such as Olsen Trucking and Neshaminy Brick and Block. He was a selfless man who dedicated every hard-working day of his life to his loving wife, and six children. He lived to love. Over 67 years of life, he spent together with Patricia, ensuring any need or want she ever desired was made.

When Tom was not working hard at his job, he was working hard on the back of boats, fishing, crabbing, fixing, laughing, and making memories that shall never be forgotten.  Later in his life, he enjoyed many years in Tuckerton Beach, NJ at his shore home, always surrounded by loved ones coming to visit.

Tom is survived by his wife, Patricia (nee: Burkhardt), and his six children, Thomas (Arleen), Michael (Vanessa), Patricia (Dan), Mark, Steven (Trish), and David (Kathleen). Tom was a brother to the late Carol Holloway and Johna Worth. He was loved by his many grandchildren, and great grandchildren. If you met Tom, you learned from him, loved him, and looked up to him. 

Family and friends are invited to gather Thursday, August 24, 2023, from 6 – 8 pm at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 430 Radcliffe Street,  Bristol, PA 19007, to memorialize the life of our loved Tom. Interment is private under the direction of Galzerano Funeral Home.
