Frank V. Genco, Jr.

October 21, 1965 — January 24, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce our beloved Frank V. Genco, Jr. “Frankie” passed away peacefully on January 24, 2023.  He passed peacefully at home with his loved ones by his side.  Frank grew up in Levittown and graduated from Harry S. Truman High School Class of 1984.  Frank spent many years as a master HVAC technician.  He spent the last 10 years of his career as a maintenance supervisor for Gelest Inc. in Morrisville, PA.  Unfortunately he had to retire early due to injuries sustained in an auto accident.  It was later determined that he had developed ALS.  He fought a courageous battle with his family by his side.  Frank worried more about us then himself.  That was the kind of man he was.  He had a heart of gold, always helping others, loved his family whole heartedly and was so proud of his Italian heritage.  Frank was so kind, compassionate, hardworking, intelligent and funny.  He was the go to guy when something needed repair.  He was so mechanically inclined and could fix anything.  He enjoyed the beach, mountains, hunting, fishing, playing his drums, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family and friends.  Fly high Frank and get your angel wings, you earned them.

Predeceased by his grandparents Sam and Carrie Cicerchia, Vincent and Margaret Genco as well as many aunts and uncles.  Left behind to cherish his memory is his wife Renee, his parents Frank, Sr. and Madeline Genco, his sister Cheryl Genco, niece Raechel Genco, daughter Nicole Scheerer, his aunts Loretta Cicerchia, Veronica Capella and Jean Deon, father-in-law Bert Nelson, sister-in-law Miranda Nelson, his beloved dog Cheyenne and cats Samantha and Peanut, as well as many cousins and friends.

As special thank you to the University of Penn Hospice, his nurse Jackie, Dr. Elman and Mary Kelly at the ALS Center at Penn.

Family and friends are invited to gather Monday evening, January 30, 2023, from 6 – 8 pm at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 430 Radcliffe Street, Bristol, PA 19007.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 am Tuesday morning at St Ann Church, 357 Dorrance Street, Bristol, PA 19007, there will be no calling hours before mass.  Interment will be held at Bristol Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The ALS Association, 1300 Wilson Blvd., Suite 600, Arlington, VA 22209.
