Frank S. Bugyi, born in Roebling, New Jersey on August 16, 1931, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, January 3, 2025, in Bristol, Pennsylvania surrounded by his loved ones, leaving behind a legacy filled with compassion, warmth, and unwavering dedication.
Frank was a beloved husband to his wife, Josephine Bugyi (Diodati), with whom he shared a deep and abiding partnership of 71 years together. He is survived by his children: David Bugyi (Judy), Gregory Bugyi, and Mary Jo Middleton (Mark). Frank's family continued to grow with the blessing of granddaughters Amanda Bugyi, Rebecca Black (Nic), and Melissa Middleton, who brought immense joy into his life. Additionally, he was a proud great-grandfather to Gabriella Gutierrez, Jackson Black, and Riley Black.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, John and Elizabeth Bugyi and brothers Mike, Johnny, Joe and sister Betty. At the age of 17 he enlisted in the U.S. Marines and became a staff Sergeant and Aircraft Engineer. He received an Honorable discharge in 1952. He was employed at Rohm & Haas for 38 years before he retired. Always active Frank was a Boy Scout Leader (Troop 61), Little League Coach, member of the American Legion and St. Ann's Church. His life was a testament to the values instilled in him from a young age, serving the community and his commitment to family.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the viewing scheduled for Saturday, January 18, 2025, from 11 – 12 pm at Galzerano Funeral Home, located at 430 Radcliffe Street, Bristol, PA 19007. Following the viewing, a burial service will be held at St. Mark Cemetery.
As we remember Frank, we celebrate a life well-lived and the profound love that radiated from him to all who had the privilege to know him. His spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts and memories of his family and friends.
