Florence Cader

Florence Zadroga Cader, 95, of Mountain Lakes, NJ passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 28, 2023. A funeral Mass to honor Florence’s life will be held 10:30 am Monday, December 4, 2023, at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Yardley, PA. The family will receive friends at the church one-half hour prior to the service. Florence was born on April 28, 1928, in Philadelphia PA to the late Julius and Jozefa Zadroga who emigrated from Poland. She was the youngest of nine children and spent her childhood in the Queens Village section of South Philadelphia. Florence married Casimer Cader on November 4, 1950, started raising their family in Bristol PA, and eventually settled into their forever home in Morrisville PA. Florence and Casimer welcomed two daughters, Donna, and Maureen, and one son, Cass. She was the consummate wife and mother who loved to host festive gatherings for friends and family. Florence was a creative genius in the kitchen and no one who ever crossed her doorstep ever went hungry. Her sense of humor was infectious, and she always loved to pull a prank on some unsuspecting victim. Florence was extremely proud of her children and their academic accomplishments, all three going into various areas of healthcare. She had a huge heart for those less fortunate and would often package meals for the needy from her own kitchen. Florence’s eight grandchildren were blanketed with her love and generosity and benefited from her gentle spirit and endless wisdom. Her most recent joy came from meeting two of her three great grandchildren. Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Casimer and eldest daughter, Donna Gerome. Those remaining to cherish her memory are daughter, Maureen Cibischino (Rolando); son, Cass Cader, MD (Patrice) and son-in-law, Michael Gerome Sr; Grandchildren, Michael Gerome Jr (Stephanie), Tim Gerome, Craig Gerome (Tara), Marco Cibischino, Matthew Cibischino, Brett Cibischino (Michelle), Elise Cader Anderson (Mark) and Ian Cader (Meredith); Great grandchildren, Walker Cader, Maggie Cader and Callan Cibischino; and many dear nieces and nephews. The family would also like to thank the loving staff at Sunrise of Mountain Lakes and Dr. Andreas Rotsides who cared for Florence for nearly two years.
