Eugene "Gene" Darrah

Eugene “Gene” Darrah age 73 passed on to his Heavenly reward on August 4, 2020 after succumbing to a lengthy illness. Gene was a 1965 graduate of Pennsbury High School and a U.S. Army veteran as well. He is survived by his wife Mickey (Estella) Darrah, son Marc Darrah and granddaughter Aubrey Darrah. Gene also is survived by a sister Susan Hendrix. 

Gene was well known because of his business at Sundown Boarding Stables in Newtown, Pennsylvania that has been on Swamp Road for 40 years. He was always available to discuss anything and everything with family, friends, boarders, and virtually everyone. We hope you will fondly remember Gene and his contributions to so many. 

Interment will be held Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road Newtown, PA 18940. Please arrive precisely at 9:45 a.m., so that interment can take place at 10 a.m., due to cemetery restrictions. In lieu of flowers donations to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516 would be greatly appreciated. 

Keeping with CDC guidelines, social distancing and masks are mandated indoors and outdoors.
