Edward Byron Morey, Sr.

November 4, 1934 — February 8, 2018

Edward Byron Morey, Sr. passed away on February 8, 2018 of Port Richey, FL.  He was 83.   Edward served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars as a Chief Petty Officer and Machinist Mate.  He received the Korean Service Medal, US Vietnam Service Medal and National Defense Medal.  Edward was a life member of the John Billington VFW Post 6495 and American Legion Paradise Post 79.  He is the founder of the band “First Time Around” from Levittown and music was his life. He is preceded in death by his parents Byron and Velina Morey, and his wife Viola Morey (Fenner).  Edward will be greatly missed by his children, Edward Morey, Jr (Lisa), Kimberly Lake (Al) and Scott Morey, grandchildren Danielle Morey, Shannon Uram (Robert), Brian Morey (Meghan), Amanda Kidd (Kenny), Robert Hose (Lilly), great grandchildren, Nicholas Uram, Nathan Uram, Noah Uram, Kennedy Morey, Fiona Morey, Emma Kidd and his girlfriend Patricia Moore.  Relatives and friends are invited to call from 6 - 8 pm Friday, March 16, 2018 at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol – Oxford Valley Road, Levittown, PA 19057.  Inurnment will be held Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Newtown Cemetery, please arrive at Galzerano Funeral Home between 9 and 9:10 am for procession to depart at 9:15 am to the Cemetery.  To order memorial trees or send flowers to the family in memory of Edward Byron Morey, Sr., please visit our flower store.
