Edmund J. Spadaccino (Buster Sr.), a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 11, 2025, at St. Mary Medical Center, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on March 13, 1943, in Bristol, PA, and spent his life filled with memories that will be cherished by all who knew him.
Buster is survived by his devoted wife, Suzanne Spadaccino, who stood by his side through many of life's joys and challenges. He was a proud father to his children: Edmund (Buster) Spadaccino Jr, Stacey Dragon and Brian Spadaccino, who will carry forward his legacy of love and dedication.
Buster is survived by his grandchildren, who he loved and cherished: Amanda Wade (John), Daniel Dragon and Giovanni Dragon. Additionally, he is the proud great-grandfather of Johnny Wade and Conor Wade, further extending the bonds of family that were so important to him. He is also survived by his nephew and niece Keith and Eileen Coyne who he cherished his family time and dinners with.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Mildred Spadaccino and his sister Mildred Coyne and his brother in-law James Coyne.
Buster held a deep respect for his Italian family roots, which shaped his values and character throughout his life. He had a passionate love of sports; he was an avid Green Bay Packers and Norte Dame football fan and Cincinnati Reds baseball fan.
He was an active member of the Bristol Borough Little League, in which he played many roles, Board member, Team Manager, and All-Star coach, for over 59 years. He was also the honorary Pop Pop and assistant coach to the 2015 Bristol Senior girls World Series team, which brought much notoriety and attention to our little town.
Buster loved and played multiple sports from the football midget division in Bristol through his senior year for Bristol High School. Buster played shortstop and was a member of the team from Bristol that won the PA State baseball title in 1958.
Buster was employed by Home Depot in Tullytown for over 22 years. Prior to his time at Home Depot Buster was a manager and supervisor in the banking industry. And throughout his life he worked as a welder, auto mechanic and pipe fitter.
Buster looked forward to his annual trip to Aruba, his home away from home. He loved his daily "drink" with dinner made by his wife Sue or grandson Daniel.
Friends and family are invited to a memorial gathering that will take place on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at Galzerano Funeral Home, 430 Radcliffe Street, Bristol, PA, 19007.
This will be an opportunity for family and friends to come together to honor his remarkable life, share stories, and celebrate the countless moments that made Buster a treasured part of their lives.
Buster will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of love and passion for family will surely live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
