Dorothy "JJ" Jamieson

https://www.cancer.org/involved/donate.htmlDorothy “JJ” (nee MacLennan) Jamieson, age 78, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 20, 2021 with her loving family by her side.

Dorothy was born on May 28, 1942 in Philadelphia, PA. She was a graduate of Springfield High School in Springfield Delaware County, PA. Dorothy raised her family and worked many years at the Warminster West Diner and Philadelphia Park Race Track. Dorothy truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting with friends and family and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Dorothy had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way with her generous spirit and pleasant personality.

She is preceded in death by her loving partner of 35 years, M. William Mangin, her parents Charles and Dorothy (nee Nath) MacLennan, and her brother-in-law Joseph Wellendorf.

Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children; Joseph Jamieson, Michelle (Art) Anderson, and Nicole (Rusty) Manness; eight grandchildren, Jessica (Mark) Merulla, Alycia Guzman (Carmen Raroha,) Robert May, Ryan Anderson, Jordan Anderson, Jenna Anderson, Desiree (Joseph) Sogness, and Crystal Reilly; seven great-grandchildren, Vienna, Anthony, LJ, Liliana, Brycin, Kayleigh, and Elaina; her beloved siblings Carol Wellendorf and Charles MacLennan; and her many devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Family and friends are invited to gather Tuesday, March 9. 2021 from 10 to 10:30 am at St. Ephrem Church, 5400 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, PA 19020. Funeral mass will begin at 10:30 am. Interment will be held privately at Washington Crossing National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Dorothy’s honor to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.

Keeping with CDC guidelines, social distancing and masks are mandated indoors and outdoors.
