Diane Helen Lydon (neé Mummert) exited stage life on October 20, 2020, at 71 years young. She spent time in different productions from Philadelphia to Long Island, New York and back. Diane was an accomplished seamstress since childhood, sewing everything from Halloween costumes to heirloom-worthy christening gowns for family and friends alike. Known for her style, she always stepped out in FLAWLESS hair, makeup and outfit and shoes for every mood. The consummate hostess, Diane always put out an enviable spread that made her guests feel welcome.
Her favorite roles included serving as house manager at Bristol Riverside Theatre, being mom to Christa Barlow (James), Matthew Lydon (Elizabeth), and Jessica Lydon, but she relished playing grandmother to Chayla Rose and Ciaràn most of all. Though she’s passed through the stage door, she’d like you to remember her bubbly spirit with a smile on your face and a song in your heart.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Diane’s memory in support of the Bristol Riverside Theatre. Please contact the General Manager at [email protected], or follow the link: https://tickets.brtstage.org/
