Dennis M McKale

Dennis M. McKale, a devoted husband, cherished brother, uncle, friend, and decorated war hero, passed away peacefully at his home, at the age of 81.

As a proud Purple Heart recipient, Dennis served his country with distinction during the Vietnam War. His bravery and sacrifice in service for his nation were paralleled by the love and commitment he showed to his family throughout his life.

Dennis was a simple man who found great joy in spending time with his nephews, participating in fishing trips and crabbing adventures. He was the type of uncle who always had a pocket full of candy to share with the children, often accompanied by a playful joke. The children loved the playful ways in which he would hide their toys, leading to joyful searches that echoed with laughter. His warmth, laughter, and kindness will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold Sr. and Catherine McKale, his siblings Harold B. McKale, Jr., George McKale; Joan Szafranski (Joe Szafranski).  Dennis is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Sue; his sisters-in-law, Eileen McKale and Pat McKale; as well as numerous nieces and nephews who will forever treasure the memories they shared with him.

The services to honor Dennis’ life will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at St Mark Church, 1025 Radcliffe Street, Bristol, PA 19007 with visitation 11:30 am – 12:30 pm, followed by a funeral mass at 12:30 pm.

Interment will be held at Washington Crossing National Cemetery on Thursday, September 5, 2024. A funeral procession will form at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol – Oxford Valley Road, Levittown, PA 19057. Attendees are requested to arrive by 9:00 am and leave for the cemetery at 9:15 am so that interment can take place at 10 am.
