Colleen Ann Lyons

Colleen Ann Lyons of Philadelphia, PA passed away Sunday, May 16, 2021 at Temple University Hospital.  She was 61. 

Colleen Lyons devoted and loving mother of Sergeant William Shapiro and Shannon. Adoring Grammy to Shea and Luke. Loved, and loving daughter of the late William and Claire Lyons. Also survived by her sisters, Mime Gorczynski and Fran Lyons, many nieces and nephews and their children and numerous cousins and dear friends. Survived also by her beloved husband Mick Popowcer.

To know Colleen was to love her.
One if her greatest joys was going to the zoo and the shore with her grandchildren. Colleen also loved riding her prize winning Harley Davidson.

A true patriot, Colleen took great pride in her position as Management and Support Analyst for over 32 years for DLA Troop Support. Working her way through the ranks, earning her degree from St. Joseph's University in the process.

Colleen was deployed as a civilian government employee in 2010 to camp Arajafjan in Kuwait as a team member for troop support.

Colleen touched so many lives, everywhere she went. Always putting others first. She was kind, loving, loyal, honest.... the best friend you could ever hope for. Heaven gained a true Angel. She will be truly missed, but she'll forever hold a place in our hearts.

GOD rest her soul.

Family and friends are invited to gather Saturday, May 22, 2021 from 9 - 11 am at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol -Oxford Valley Road, Levittown, PA 19057.  Funeral service will begin at 11 am.  Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
