Charles T Saunders

Charles T Saunders Jr of Levittown passed away peacefully on Monday afternoon June 18th, 2018. He was 62 years old.   Known to most of his friends as Biz, Charles has had a very fulfilling life. After high school, he moved to Florida, which became his home for over 20 years. There, he became a meat cutter and eventual meat manager of Winn Dixie grocery store. He also developed a love of the ocean and fishing. In 2008, he found himself back in the area where he began working as an assistant meat manager at Giant Foods. At Giant he made many friends with coworkers and customers. After work, he could be found at his favorite watering hole McStew’s. There he shared many laughs and fish tales with fellow patrons.    Charles has lived with his sister Colleen and her family since moving back home. In 2016 he was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. He bravely fought and endured the endless chemo treatments so that he could continue to have just another day. Chemo would not be strong enough to fight his horrible cancer. His sister and family took great care of this special man until the very end. Those final weeks were spent watching his favorite Phillies, as well as discussing his Superbowl champion Eagles, sitting on the swing, and simply offing the simplicity of life.    Chuck will be dearly missed by his parents Charles and Jeanne Saunders, his brother and sister-in-law Scott and Pat Saunders, along with his nephew Scott Jr, his sister Colleen Snedeker, along with her husband Drew, his nephew Travis, his niece Heather Richiez, along with her husband Bala and children Rohnan and Ryland, and his four-legged family members Toby and Hammy.   Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
