Carol A Behrle

Carol A. Behrle (nee Ciociola), 73 of Bensalem, PA passed away peacefully on Friday, September 1, 2023, with her son and daughter by her side.

Carol was born on February 20, 1950, to Jerome and Rosemarie (nee Cramasta) Ciociola.  Raised in South Philadelphia, she graduated from St. Maria Goretti Catholic High School in 1968 and went on to obtain her nursing diploma from Jefferson University in 1971.

Carol was a loving and devoted mother to Amy (Warren) Bretzel and Eric Behrle.  Carol leaves behind three grandchildren whom she adored: Lauren, Nicholas, and Christopher.  Carol is also survived by her sister Anna (Joseph) Heidt and nephew Joseph.

Carol was an accomplished RN, mostly working in the Emergency Department for Parkview and Nazareth Hospitals. She was an avid reader who loved the beach and the Phillies.  Carol was a devout Catholic, intelligent, compassionate, empathetic, kind, gentle, generous, and patient.

Her last few years were spent with her family, surrounded by love, and comforted by her grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to gather Saturday, September 9, 2023, from 10 – 11 a.m. at St. Ephrem Church, 5400 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, PA 19020. Funeral Mass will begin at 11 a.m.  Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
